The NLCRC’s Member Meeting and Planning Session – Spring 2024

On May 7th and 8th, members of the National Lubricant Container Recycling Coalition (NLCRC) will convene their first member meeting and planning session for 2024 in Lexington, Kentucky.

During this meeting, the NLCRC members will explore key legislative topics for the NLCRC; specifically, identifying and discerning potential future areas of technical or legislative focus to ensure that there is a clear path on the unfolding legislative landscape in the US. Working towards staying informed, gathering perspectives on other industries’ responses to EPR, and compiling relevant information to keep the members better informed on the evolving EPR policymaking is a priority for the NLCRC.

The NLCRC members will also discuss the collective risks, learnings and potential solutions for shared industry challenges, including a discussion on our recently published report on Making Automotive-Related Packaging Sustainable in the U.S. from the Collection and Recycling Program in Atlanta, Georgia.

The NLCRC recognizes that the petroleum packaging industry's barriers are more significant than any one company can solve. Collaboration between the industry members is critical to better address the petroleum packaging recycling challenge and deliver results with the creation of systemic, collaborative solutions for post-consumer packaging recovery and recycling for petroleum and related products utilized in transportation and industrial applications.

The National Lubricant Container Recycling Coalition or “NLCRC” is an industry-led coalition funded by a committed consortium of value chain stakeholders focused on establishing solutions for the recovery and recycling of packaging for petroleum-based and related products utilized in the transportation and industrial applications Industry.
