NLCRC 2023 Recap
2023 has been a pivotal year for the National Lubricant Container Recycling Coalition (NLCRC), beginning with a detailed evaluation of the industry impacts of emerging EPR packaging laws, to the development of an industry-specific solution. As we look forward to 2024, the NLCRC will be assessing our strategic priorities, continuing to focus on monitoring and assessing the ever-changing legislative landscape, and developing solutions for packaging challenges across the value chain – including exploring more circular options for petroleum and related packaging.
Given the challenges with the recycling of petroleum and related packaging, collaboration is helping industry members take a step forward to identify a sustainable packaging strategy that helps identify, prioritize, and execute projects that support sustainable packaging and other circular solutions within the petroleum packaging and related industry.
Additionally, during this year, the NLCRC welcomed CKS Packaging, Inc., Safety-Kleen, and RPM Eco as new members.
Reflecting on the past year, you are invited to read our blog posts to learn about the EPR changing context, the challenges at hand, and how the NLCRC is working to address them:
